About this diagnostic

This diagnostic has 15 original questions across the NCLEX-RN client-needs categories, including select-all-that-apply questions and a dose calculation. It is untimed and takes about 15 minutes. You can see your results without creating an account.

What you get: an overall band, category-by-category signals, flags for international-nurse gaps (US units, US drug names and US health-system conventions) and a short rationale for every question.

What it is not: it is not a prediction of whether you will pass the NCLEX-RN, and it is not an official NCSBN assessment. With only a few questions per category, treat category results as signals for where to focus, not as scores.

How the questions are made: each question is written from scratch, referenced to clinical sources, and reviewed by our founder, an internationally educated nurse registered in the UK, before it appears here. The questions have not been independently reviewed by a US registered nurse. See the clinical review process.

How to use your results

Start with the categories marked "focus here", then read the explanation for every question you missed, including the ones you guessed right. The explanations say which source each answer rests on, so you can read further in the official guidance rather than memorising a rule. Retake the diagnostic after a few weeks of study to see whether the same areas still stand out.

Your privacy

There is no sign-up and the site sets no cookies. Your answers stay in your own browser: while you work they are kept there so a refresh does not lose them, and when you submit, your browser scores them itself. Nothing you answer is sent to us or stored by us, so your results are not saved. Note down anything you want to keep. See the privacy notice.
